The Samsung Tocco F480 Pink Mobile Phone is just one of many Samsung touchscreen phones on the market today (the word Tocco means “touch” in Italian in case you were wondering) although that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a place. The F480 is very similar to the F490 Nerva, so the real question is which one out of these two gives the best value for money.
Both the $90 and F80 are stylish looking phones on the face of it, but unfortunately for the F480 it has a slightly smaller screen than the F490 and a lower resolution which can really affect the quality of touchscreen phones. Some advantages of the F480 is that it has a built in FM radio and a large amount of built in memory out of the box. It also has a better 3G connection that the F490 because it uses HSDPA which allows speeds of up the 7.2Mbpps which is comparable with the majority of home broadband. If you are going to be using your phone for the internet a lot then this is a huge bonus.
The disadvantages to the Samsung Tocco F480 Phone is that there have been various complaints that it is unreliable when it comes to taking and holding calls and that the sound quality when it comes to speaking in the phone is no good. This is obviously a major problem for a mobile phone and although Samsung have attempted to correct an issue with the firmware that was causing it some people are still having problems.

Style of the Samsung Tocco F480 Pink
The Samsung Tocco F480 Pink Phone is a functional looking phone – no more, no less. It has the same glossy finish that you expect form modern phones but there does seem to be something a bit missing with the design. However it is only 11.6mm thick which means that it is ultra lightweight and very easy to carry around with you. Being a touchscreen also has the advantage of being easy to use on the internet and texting without having to include a QWERTY keyboard.

Overall, the Samsun Tocco F480 is a good phone that suffers from a few large flaws. If you are trying to decide whether to go for the F480 or F490 then you really have a straight choice between extra features with the F480 or a more reliable phone and larger screen on the F490. Therefore which one you choose will largely come down to what you plan to be using your phone for and how important reliability is. We would expect Samsung to fix the problem with the reliability of the firmware at some point in the near future but no one knows when that will be.
